Harvest and Production
Made with grapes selected from our vineyards, planted in perfect conditions in which to grow the grapes, on stony soil allowing aeration and drainage of the plants. The harvest takes place at the ideal point of maturity, and immediately afterwards the grapes are taken into the winery, where they are left to rest for some hours in cold storage until their pressing. The wine is fermented at a low temperature (15°) during 22 days. After that, it is kept on its fine lees and is regularly pumped over until obtaining its characteristic creaminess and aroma. This wine is unique due to the fact that it is kept in the tank for four months following fermentation.
Tasting Note
Appealing pale, green-yellow in colour, Pentio is powerful on the nose, with aromas of ripe fruit, boxwood and an herbaceous base, with a slight aniseed flavour. It is fruity, cheerful and well-balanced.
Matching
Appetizers, fish and rice.
Winery Comments
This young white wine is fresh and a pleasure to drink. Simple but with complexity obtained from its regular battonage process and being left to rest for several months with its fine lees. It is a pleasant aperitif, goes well with meals and it is perfect for any palate anytime.
Optimal drinking conditions are maintained for a minimum of 2 years after bottling.
